The dog was having a grand time
as everyone could plainly see
each time she returned the ball
she jumped and barked with glee
Then as the children gathered 'round
to see what the fuss was about
she'd run up to them, wag her tail,
pushing them the ball with her snout
Over and over they threw it
for she really was in her prime
twisting and barking she loved it
the dog was having a grand time
