We would like to thank Shan for all the wonderful lessons on the Triolet, You have great advice, Shan... we all thank you !!

A quick re-cap – The features of the Triolet are:
* 8 lines.
* Two rhymes.
* 5 of the 8 lines are repeated or refrain lines.
* First line repeats at the 4th and 7th lines.
* Second line repeats at the 8th line.

Just to remind you, the Triolet structure is ABaAabAB with A and B being the repeated refrain. You can have some fun with these refrains, changing them ever so slightly, as you emphasize an irony or bring a new meaning to the Triolet. Try the original form first as emphasized in week one, but when you’re comfortable use these steps to take it further.

An hour lost, or is it gained

the daylight beckons me again

once more my hands will be dirt stained

our garden beckons me again

my wish for spring I have campaigned

now like finding a long lost friend

the hour we lost is now gained

Spring time beckons me once again
