This is a prompting Blog

My intent here is to write a poem from the prompt I give to you , the reader, in hopes that it will inspire something and get others to write with me.

Today is Mulit-Prompt Monday

Today is Multi-Prompt Monday here at Dodge Writes, which means the blogs we follow are going to be crammed into one or two  poems. If you are joining us today on this adventure please note it is not necessary for you to do these prompts this way, but we do hope you stop in at each of these wonderful sites. You will enjoy each of them, make sure you link yours in and read as many as you can, they are really worth the time !
Today's prompts ...

Here at Dodge Writes we are doing Crapsey cinquains (Reverse+butterfly+mirror)

Butterfly is a nine-line syllabic form with the pattern two, four, six, eight, two, eight, six, four, two. (2,4,6,8,2,8,6,4,2)

One Stop Poetry @ http://onestoppoetry.com/ Has Gay Cannon,  with forms of poetry, this week is – blank verse. The standard definition of blank verse is strict iambic pentameter, no rhyme. Gay has lots to share on the subject, so pop over and put yours on too !

AND OFF WE GO... OURS ARE...

Buzzing
With my wings all a fluttering
like bees that pollinate
upon flowers
pretty

swelling
flower buds pop
sweetly fragrant for all
and we fairies stop to smell them
dropping
dew as we speak sweetly to them
thanking each for beauty
beyond compare
splendid

flying
following winds
laughing in the currents
rising and drifting through meadows
of green
Puffy
clouds floating in the summer sky
bringing shade to the day
allowing time
to rest

AND...

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL

A memory fond, our anniversary
off to Del Mar in San Diego, Ca
A date night of true epic proportions
a stage was set in a very large tent
and the seats we had were dead center
as the lights went down the only sounds
were of the music playing and hearts beating
German wheel stunning in perfection
Aerial Contortion in silk was breathless
Handbalance and Statue were amazing
Hoops, Diabolos and Spanish web graceful
the sights and sounds still ring in my mind
I will always have fond memories of Quidam

Hello Everyone...

Life has been so crazy lately, nothing wrong, just so busy and tired I had to take a break...Seems like longer than just a few days, but I'm finally rested up enough to start writing again.... But first I have to share a couple of things....

I Love my friend Helena, her blog is very inspirational and I enjoy the fact that she and I had started our blogs together, when she doesn't see me writing she wonders if I'm doing OK, mostly because she loves me as much as I love her, but also because she knows how dedicated I am to blogging... so the first thing I saw today was this sweet little reminder that she is thinking of me, Love it so much had to share it ! Thank you Helena !!

The next thing that came up was from my Sister-in-law Leslie, who in her own words is no poet, which I strongly disagree with, I think she is a wonderful poet... here is the proof...

Birthday

I'm late for a very important day
The birthday of my sister-in-law
I'll use my pen instead of my jaw
There is so much I want to say
She goes by Lynne or JL
Magic is what I see in her garden
Oh's and Ah's are said so often
I feel I am under a spell
Her soul is in the beauty she spreads
Stone walls are all around
She uses every inch of her ground
Masterly arranging flowers in their beds.

There is more to Lynne than her flowers
She has overcome a tragic past
Rejecting the hold that could cast
Moving ahead instead with power
I welcomed her my arms opened wide
When she became my brother's wife
Bringing unspeakable joy to his life
She is his wife he says with great pride.

Happy Birthday Lynne!
Thank you for adding so much color to our world, not
just with flowers, but with your big heart.

Love,
Leslie

Yep like I said, she is a wonderful poet !!  Another one of her many talents !! Thank you Leslie, I will treasure this always !!
