This is a prompting Blog

My intent here is to write a poem from the prompt I give to you , the reader, in hopes that it will inspire something and get others to write with me.

Today is Multi-Prompt Monday

Today is Multi-Prompt Monday here at Dodge Writes, which means the blogs we follow are going to be crammed into one or two  poems. If you are joining us today on this adventure please note it is not necessary for you to do these prompts this way, but we do hope you stop in at each of these wonderful sites. You will enjoy each of them.

Today's prompts ...

Here at Dodge Writes we will do FIRST AND LAST... The only requirement in this prompt is that you use this as the first AND last line in your write... you may use prose or any form of poetry ... today's line is... EFFORTLESSLY TAKING MY HEART...

Mondays Child gives us this picture prompt ...

Monday Memories, @ has asked ' Did you once have an outfit that you loved or made you feel special, maybe even a wedding dress or a military uniform, or a fun costume for some event?'

Last , but certainly not least we have today's prompt from One Stop Poetry @ ... Which is Shadorma form, hosted by Leslie Moon  & Anne Welch (The shadorma is a syllabic poem with the following structure: 3/5/3/3/7/5)

So off we go... OURS ARE...

Effortlessly taking my heart
to places of childhood dreams
where imagination is sparked
amongst clear waterfalls gleaming

In fields of elves and fairy folk
with sparkling stars in the night
Listening to the bull frog croak
you bravely held my hand so tight

When daylight broke in the meadows
we never wanted to depart
all the love I felt you echoed
Effortlessly taking my heart

riding my pony
in parades
and horse shows
My Momma made our costumes
we wore them proudly

We thank all of the wonderful sites for the fun prompts that we enjoy each week !
Hope you have a chance to join in with us too...
