This is a prompting Blog

My intent here is to write a poem from the prompt I give to you , the reader, in hopes that it will inspire something and get others to write with me.

Today's Prompt is Kyrielle

A kyrielle is made of quatrains that rhyme. Each stanza (that is a quatrain) has a line that repeats, so a line from a previous stanza. That line usually (but does not necessarily have to) be the last line in the stanza.
Each line in the poem has eight syllables. There is no limit to the number of stanzas. Usually there are three or more stanzas.
Any type of rhyme scheme can be used. OURS IS...

When quietness surrounds my home

Each day I rise before the sun
the moon and stars decent begun
the perfect time to be alone
when quietness surrounds my home

My coffee cup is emptied twice
I try to make my words precise
Then check to see what flowers grown
when quietness surrounds my home

Birds break the silence with sweet song
feelings of peace are very strong
whispering winds ring chimes of chrome
when quietness surrounds my home

  3. I agree, there are no words to describe it. All that's left is thank you for the opportunity to follow you!
