This is a prompting Blog

My intent here is to write a poem from the prompt I give to you , the reader, in hopes that it will inspire something and get others to write with me.

Today's Prompt is Triolet

A triolet is a poem of only eight lines with a rhyme scheme abaaabab. The fourth and seventh lines are the same exact line as the first. The eighth line is the same exact line as the second.

OURS IS...

Mindful of the days past
my love is ever grateful
how you make smiles last
mindful of the days past

The days of youth fly so fast
yet with you it is so graceful
mindful of the days past
my love is ever grateful

YOUR TURN

  3. An orange sky, black-laced by a tree
Gently fading to a rosy hue
    Changing almost imperceptibly
An orange sky, black-laced by a tree
An unearthly colour scheme I see
For a sky that normally is blue,
An orange sky, black-laced by a tree
Gently fading to a rosy hue

    A try anyway.

  4. I went to write a triolet
A single stanza of a bud,
    About a little violet
I went to write a triolet
    The problem with a violet
That find a rhyme I never could
I went to write a triolet
A single stanza of a bud,

It's all in the way you say it...

I wish Monday could be Sunday
earlymorning a thing mof the past.
A day to relax and enjoy
I wish Monday could be Sunday.

The week it goes so quickly
I never seem to catch up.
I wish Monday could be Sunday
then I could stay in bed.x

My patience has worn so thin
I can barely feel your heart
    And mine is barely open
My patience has worn so thin

And much to my sad chagrin
We may need to split apart
My patience has worn so thin
I can barely feel your heart

Have i reached the pinnacle of pain
And crossed the bridge of deep despair?
    Shouid i hope or refrain
Have i reached the pinnacle of pain

    Do i continue to search
Fpr someone who just isnt there
Have i reached the pinnacle of pain
And crossed the bridge of deep despair...

I wish you were still here
As a piece of me is missing
Now you are no longer there
I wish you were still here

I think about the both of you
The things we used to share
I wish you were still here
As a piece of me is missing.
