Today we will write a poem for someone who inspires us... Any style, any length
I happen to be on a kick right now, I LOVE writing my own words to songs I know, so dedicated to all of YOU ....
OURS IS ....
TO ALL THE POETS WHO FOLLOW ME
( to the tune of "To all the girls I loved before")
To all the poets who follow me
who do my prompts so easily
I'm glad you play along
I have a lot of fun
with all the poets who follow me
To all the writers I inspire
I hope that you will never tire
each time we write I grow
I dedicate this poem
to all the writers I inspire
Some day's are filled with laughter
and then its love the very next
who knows what we'll do after
it just might be our very best
To all of you who love to rhyme
you rock my world, you blow my mind,
you have a place to show
all those rhymes you know
for all of you who love to rhyme
For all the artful words you write
the tears you share, your laughter bright,
each time we write I grow
you have a place to show
all those artful words you write
Some day's are filled with laughter
and then its love the very next
who knows what we'll do after
it just might be our very best
To all the poets who follow me
who do my prompts so easily
I'm glad you play along
I have a lot of fun
with all the poets who follow me(X2)
Tee Hee Hee
I think I'm getting better with practice

ENJOY

I don't think I will ever understand how poets like you can rhyme so easily,at the drop of a hat.How far you have come is an inspiration,to all who have struggled to over come hardship and heartache.I look forward to read and enjoy the poetry you have yet to write.
ReplyDeleteOuch, a toughie
ReplyDeleteInspiring people stand out clear
ReplyDeleteIn disasters floodlight arc
But the candles in the dark
Are the ones I hold most dear.
The carers who every day
Reach out to those in need
To silent cries pay heed
And help as best they may.
For they are the ones whose daily lot
Is to be relied on, yet their aid
Is seldom noticed, soon forgot
Their kindness rarely is repaid.
The ones who find a thing that’s lost
And return it where it should be
Who its true value see
Not the monitory cost.
The one who do an old mans shopping
Or stop and hold that door,
Give a hand on a rough floor,
Don’t pass by without stopping.
Candles may not shine out bright
With a spotlights blinding glare
But lost and cold in the dark night
We are glad to find them there.
Tough is your middle name Penny ! You did awesome on that one (and all of the others) YOU are the reason I wrote what I did ! Thank you for playing with me !!
ReplyDeleteRichie, It's easier than you think, you really write well already, so pick a word, (NOT PURPLE, NO NOT ORANGE EITHER) go through the words that rhyme with it. think of a subject that will go well with that word,( Say SPACE,)then ace base case dice? eyes? face,grace....there are alot of words that only have a few rhymes to them, then you think of a near rhyme, ... Hope that helps you some... that is how I do it!
ENJOY

ReplyDeleteI truely enjoy reading your posts! They have allowed me to view poetry in a entirely different sense and view certain subjects in a new way as well! Thank you! I have a poetry blog as well! Feel free to visit and express your opinions!
ReplyDeleteThanks JL. It is fun and I love your verse.
