This is a prompting Blog

My intent here is to write a poem from the prompt I give to you , the reader, in hopes that it will inspire something and get others to write with me.

Multi-Prompt Monday

Today is Multi-Prompt Monday here at Dodge Writes, which means the blogs we follow are going to be crammed into one or two  poems. If you are joining us today on this adventure please note it is not necessary for you to do these prompts this way, but we do hope you stop in at each of these wonderful sites. You will enjoy each of them, make sure you link yours in and read as many as you can, they are really worth the time !
Today's prompts ...

Here at Dodge Writes we are doing a tribute to muses...Here is what we found on the subject...
MUSEA channel of inspiration for a poet.
Muses, in Greek mythology, were the nine daughters of the god Zeus and Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory. The Muses were believed to inspire not only poets, but all artist.
NINE GODDESSES:
Calliope: muse of epic poetry
Clio: muse of history
Erato: muse of love poetry; also known as the muse of music
Euterpe: muse of lyric poetry
Melpomene: muse of tragedy
Polyhymnia: muse of sacred poetry
Terpsichore: muse of choral songs and the dance
Thalia: muse of comedy
Urania: muse of astronomy

Which muse inspires you ? You may write in prose or any form of poetry, ENJOY !!
Monday Memories, @ http://memories-on-mondays.blogspot.com/ Josie asks us...
What memories of a special meal or gathering do you share?
Mondays Child gives us this picture prompt ... http://childrensverse.blogspot.com/ Give us this wonderful prompt...

We are to write a piece of children's poetry, verse, or post your interpretation of the prompt
One Stop Poetry @ http://onestoppoetry.com/   Hosted today by Gay Cannon gives us lessons in rhyme... Please take a few moments to read what she has there today and link up with all the other fine poets there....

So off we go ... OURS ARE...

Erato and Euterpe
(for my forever twinner Kryn)

Amusing little muses
twiners in lyrical ways
happened upon a mewing
in harmony one fine day

Looking upon these two
different yet so much alike
for these lyrical little muses
a bit of inspiration did strike

Gathering the mewing twins
they placed them in their hats
singing songs of love and hope
to these darling baby kitty-cats

Zeus and Mnemosyne laughed
twins with twins such a sight
musing and mewing together
singing and playing with delight

Erato and Euterpe named
the mewing little twins
so they too will live in time
known forever as Kryn & Lynne

AND...

FAMILY AFFAIRS

The holidays of old
lay warm in memories
we gather for a feast
all of our family

Granny did the hosting
it was a grand affair
 love was overflowing
for all of us were there

Tables set with china
Chrystal glasses full of wine
homemade breads, apple pies
after prayers we would dine

Those days are all but gone
since our Granny's passing
yet the memories live on
like her love, everlasting
