This is a prompting Blog

My intent here is to write a poem from the prompt I give to you , the reader, in hopes that it will inspire something and get others to write with me.

This is where I'll forever belong
so each day I will treasure
with the sound of the morning song

I see the path is winding and long
farther than can be measured
This is where I'll forever belong

The sun is slowly moving on
the birds still show their pleasure
with the sound of the morning song

The flower scent is sweet and strong
I smell them at my leisure
This is where I'll forever belong

Nothing here is ever wrong
you'll find not one displeasure
with the sound of the morning song

You'll find me walking slowly along
taking in all that I treasure
This is where I'll forever belong
with the sound of the morning song

Okay I think that one is better...
YOUR TURN
ENJOY !!

  1. Looking out my window pane
With birds singing a joyful air
I feel content with life again

I see along a winding lane
And watch the creatures playing there
    Looking out my window pane

Now my worries and my pain
Fade away with all my care
I feel content with life again

Away from crowds that seem insane
Away from noise and angers flare,
    Looking out my window pane

So I my peace of mind regain
And can again my burdens bear
I feel content with life again

Come and see the gentle rain,
    Sit with me and share
    Looking out my window pane
I feel content with life again.

  2. This one is from McVitie, the cat in my photo:

    I am a ginger moggy-cat
I hunt and stalk and play
You can not argue about that.

    I certainly am not fat
    I’m fading quite away
    I am a ginger moggy-cat.

I’m not going to eat that!
I’m sure I had it yesterday
You can not argue about that.

Look, this chair on which I’m sat
    Belongs only to me today
    I am a ginger moggy-cat.

I put mice underneath the mat
It makes sure that they stay
You can not argue about that.

I may hiss and scratch and pat
    But you love me anyway
    I am a ginger moggy-cat
You can not argue about that.
