This is a prompting Blog

My intent here is to write a poem from the prompt I give to you , the reader, in hopes that it will inspire something and get others to write with me.

Today's Prompt is Septolet

Septolet

The septolet has fourteen words. It is broken between two stanzas that make up the fourteen words. Each stanza can have seven words each but that is not a requirement. Both stanzas deal with the same thought and create a picture.

OURS IS...

Earth quakes
shaking our core
Tsunami's warn

Are we seeing
our destruction
unfold today??

  1. I am thrilled to be the first to link my poem!

Todays events in Japan and the effects around the world moved me to write of Love. May we all take pause and send Love and healing light...

    plunge into homes
    washing away

    the very existence
    of life's
    demise?

Since I've never heard of this type, this is the best I can come up with. Sorry, Susie

  5. I'd just like to say I love what you're doing here on your blog. A poet each day is great! And this poem shoots straight to the heart of current turmoil. I love that the poem end with a question. I feel that our age is all about the questions...
